Woluux welcomes you with his first offical EP 'Fuhng Kee'. It includes 4 original tracks and one collaboration with Slovak band Genuine Jacks from Nové Mesto Nad Váhom.
The EP flows with similar sounds through out, yet each track sounds completely different and ranging from 82bpm to 103bpm.
Liam Whybrow, who is behind the electronic project Woluux says: "The whole process of creating a track starts with a simple 4/4 kick and snare beat, and then adding some shuffled bass notes, and then experimenting with small samples which give the glitch effect, then i move things and build up the song. Normally a song gets its rhythm from the drums, but in this case the sounds on top of the drums give the rhythm and the drums hold the track together and give it the punch it needs."
The EP influences from funky melodies, with wet juicy bass sounds and off beat glitch sounds, and... sounds from the jungle! As he added: "I tried to keep the sounds of this ep similar as i like to have some flow, and not just put out track, track, track. Its good show progression from ep to ep and i like to show how much one sound can be manipulated."
You can get the EP for free via Bandcamp and Souncloud. Let us know your impressions about the Liams debut EP and see you at the live shows.
